Viral Video: A shocking incident was reported from Karimnagar in Telangana on Wednesday, where a stray dog attacked an 18-month-toddler named Harinandan. The shocking incident occurred at about 4 pm near Satavahana University and was captured by a nearby CCTV camera.

The footage showed Harinandan and the other child playing on the street when the stray dog slowly advanced towards them. While the other child ran towards a nearby building, Harinandan did not realize what shock awaited him since the dog was ambling along. In two ticks, this dog did the as-yet-unthinkable; it pounced on the small boy and knocked him down to the ground.
The horror video shows Harinandan scream out in pain when the dog pounced, that incited immediate help offered by neighbors. Hearing cries, concerned family members rushed outside and managed to pull the child away from the aggressive animal.
He was immediately taken to a local hospital, where he was treated for his injuries. This event has raised tremendous concern within the community, speaking for the peril posed by stray animals and the need for mitigation measures to be put in place in respect of public safety.
The investigation is being carried out by the bureaucracies as well as by the animal control to find a solution to the problem of stray dogs and also to take measures so that such cases will not appear again in the future. This horrific incident reminds very strongly of the kind of potential dangers run in the situation of stray animals besides generally enhancing and emphasizing the need of instituting vigilance and acting promptly in the protection of vulnerable people.
