According to the complaint, the 85-year-old senior citizen was allegedly assaulted inside his home in Betalbatim. The complaint was filed with Colva Police by another family member who is currently living in London. The complainant claimed to possess video footage of the incident and urged the police to register an FIR and ensure the elderly man’s safety. Acting on the complaint, Colva Police registered an FIR and invoked multiple provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Sections 115, 126, 127, 352, and 351(3) read with Section 3(5). An investigation into the matter is now underway.

Following the complaint filed by a family member living in London, Colva Police registered an FIR against the accused. The case has been booked under Sections 115, 126, 127, 352, and 351(3) read with Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police have started investigating the allegations, including the claimed video evidence, and are also looking into the request for the elderly man’s protection.
