Viral Video: Hugging while driving lands couple from Andhra Pradesh in trouble,arrested

Viral video: A viral video of a young couple in Andhra Pradesh appearing to seemingly hugging each other while riding a motorcycle led to their arrest.
The video, which was allegedly shot on the Steel Plant Road in Visakhapatnam, depicts a 19-year-old woman, later identified as K Shailaja of Chodavaram, hugging a 22-year-old man while perched on the motorcycle's fuel tank.

Video went Viral

The couple was arrested for careless driving after the apparent PDA turned into a danger to others. According to reports, the now-viral video was shot by a driver who was following the bike in their vehicle.The Steel Plant police then impounded the vehicle after filing a case under sections 132 and 129 of the Motor Vehicle Act as well as sections 336 and 279 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The parents of the two traffic offenders were called in for counselling.

Similar incident occurred in 2019

The police commissioner of Visakhapatnam, CH Srikanth, urged people to obey traffic laws and threatened harsh punishment for those who did not, including the seizure of their vehicles.A similar incident occurred in 2019 when a PDA-obsessed Delhi couple got into trouble for disregarding safety and going after "kissing on a bike."
