A recent viral video showing a cow saved from a train accident is giving all a sigh of relief. It shows that the driver's presence of mind saves the cow from death on the tracks.
While netizens are cheering up for the driver's humanity, this is again alarming for the safety of animals. This cow was fortunate, but many lost their lives due to poor animal safety measures on the track.
The viral video of a cow running along the railway track in front of a train is earning the driver wide respect from all. The brief clip, as shared by Richa Awasthi on her X handle, shows a humanitarian side of the loco pilot.
Respect for driver

इतनी इंसानियत होनी चाहिए सब में 🙏
सिर्फ इंसान होना काफी नहीं है
इंसान के अंदर इंसानियत का होना भी जरुरी है pic.twitter.com/95aTnMvbps
The video shows a cow mistakenly coming onto the track while an express train is just behind. This could easily become another catastrophic end for the innocent animal. But this time, due to the driver's sincerity and timely brakes, the cow escapes its near-death.
The video is receiving praise from netizens, and people are applauding the driver for showing presence of mind. People appreciate the good act of the driver, saying, "Humanity first and foremost thing," and showing "Respect 🙌". One user says, “Just being human is not enough”, people have to show humanity as well.
However, some are also pointing out the actual reason, saying, "ye train speed control me hai isliye rok diya, agar 110kmph hoti to kabhi n bachta", which is definitely a fact. This leads to the question, is there no way to save innocent animals from such accidental scenarios?
Animals dying on the rail track is very common, particularly in rural India. Authorities need to be more serious in implementing thorough fencing along the tracks. Raising awareness in the villages for using animal detection systems can also help.
In this case, the animal was fortunately saved from death, partly due to luck and partly to the driver's quick thinking. Therefore, apart from showing empathy, authorities need to take it as a wake-up call to improve animal safety measures across the rail tracks.
