Viral Video: Even though automatic vehicles are the norm in many developed nations, the proportion of automatic cars is still quite low. Even though more people are choosing automatic vehicles, many find the process to be confusing. This Volkswagen Vento driver accidentally put his car in reverse instead of drive and used the accelerator instead of the brakes to reverse into a restaurant.

Two ways it could have happened

Both automatic and manual transmissions were available for the VW Vento. Both Vento transmission types allow for the accidental selection of reverse. What we believe could have happened is as follows.

The owner of the car was sitting inside it when the incident occurred, and it was parked outside the restaurant. According to the information, the Vento’s owner was seated in the automatic version of the vehicle. The owner shifted it to the R, which is the opposite of placing it in the D.

Driver was the only person in the car

Without realising his error, the owner pressed the accelerator, sending the car crashing through the glass wall and over the ramp into the restaurant. As the car climbed the ramp and slammed into the glass wall, it appears that the driver pressed the accelerator all the way. The driver was the only person in the car at the time of the collision; he was unharmed. In the restaurant, everyone was secure.
