Viral Video: Every citizen is responsible for keeping public areas neat and orderly. But it is quite common to see people throwing trash somewhere other than a trash can, which is where it belongs. A picture of the Vande Bharat Express recently became popular on social media. The picture showed the train’s floor covered in trash.
Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw gave the order
Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw gave the order to thoroughly clean the train in response to the image. In order to prevent passengers from littering, the minister has also directed the implementation of a new cleaning system. The new cleaning procedure will be comparable to that used on aeroplanes. While passengers are travelling, workers will carry bags and directly collect waste from them. The minister requested help and cooperation by tweeting a video of the cleaning technique. He captioned the clip, “Cleaning system changed for #VandeBharat trains. Your cooperation expect.”
People are commenting fiercely
Awanish Sharan, an Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer, posted the image that previously went viral. He uploaded the image and captioned it, “We the people.” Many people reacted to the image and made comments about the careless conduct of the passengers. One Twitter user commented, “We keep asking for better facilities and good infrastructure but people in our country don’t know how to keep it clean and take care of it.” Another Twitter user said, “Sir, in our country people don’t know there duty but surely knew there right. Instead, people should start steps towards there self contribution for cleanliness.”
