Autonomous Capabilities of the Bolero SUV
The Bolero SUV‘s technology allows it to drive itself across broad roads without lane lines and in areas where there are no traffic laws to follow, in contrast to systems from Tesla, Intel, and other companies. The car encountered other vehicles during its test drive that drove erratically and ignored all traffic laws. The on-board collision avoidance system moved through traffic at reasonable speeds, unaffected by the surrounding traffic.
Extensive Testing of Algorithm and System Functionality
The company has also tested its intricate algorithm and system to do lane changes and high-speed U-turns, as well as autonomous nighttime highway driving and nighttime toll gate traffic. In addition to the Bolero, the business has placed this technology into a Mahindra Thar to test off-road driving at high speeds and bi-directional navigation through thick fog on Indian highways.
