Viral Video: A 50-year-old man who was portraying Lord Hanuman in a Ramlila died on stage during his performance in Salempur village of Uttar Pradesh's Fatehpur district in yet another abrupt and unexpected tragedy. Ram Swaroop, who was dressed as Hanuman, suffered a heart attack during his performance on Saturday night.
An official reporting to the incident saying, "During Ramlila's presentation, soon after the tail of Hanuman was set afire, Ram Swaroop, who was playing the character, slumped to the ground and died within a minute. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead." Watch the video here:

According to a report, Ram Swaroop's wife Anusuiya and other family members were reportedly there when the incident occurred. He added, "His wife and daughter Roopa, age two, survive him. Ram Swaroop reportedly made a living by pulling a cart, according to village chief, Gulab. On Sunday night, the family conducted the final rituals for the dead without letting the police know.

Police would visit the area to conduct an investigation, according to station house officer, Praveen Kumar. Recently, a number of similar occurrences where persons were spotted passing away suddenly during energising dance performances or while on stage have been reported.
