Millions of people have watched the breathtaking video of the “ghost patient,” which is going viral on social media. The footage was recorded around 3 am by the hospital’s CCTV system, according to the video’s embedded text.
Viral video shows scary visuals
The video opens with the hospital’s reception area door opening on its own. As soon as the security guard hears the disturbance, he gets out of his chair, grabs his clipboard, and walks over to the door. The portion that has notably shocked social media users is when he takes down the line separator to let someone through and begins talking with them. A patient had passed away the day before at the same hospital, according to a report.
After that, the security officer can be seen telling directions to the doctor’s office and even leading the “ghost patient” there.
Netizens argue on whether it was a prank
It is yet unknown that whether the guard was really in conversation with someone. However, netizens have pointed out that he could be playing a prank.
A user commented, “Alright that’s pretty weird. Either the guard is playing a joke on the cameras or this is pretty hard to explain.” Another user wrote, “He knows his colleague is sitting in the basement watching the CCTV.”
Hospital responds to the shocking viral video
The incident was reported to be of the Finochietto Sanatorium, a private healthcare facility in Buenos Aires. After the video went popular on social media, the care center’s spokesperson told local media that the door was broken and repeatedly opened.
According to the spokesperson, the security guard can be seen writing on the clipboard paper, but it was found out later that no name was mentioned in the clipboard.
