Viral Video: According to a story published on Friday in India Today's sister publication Aaj Tak, a 48-year-old real estate agent was killed by burns after the Multi Utility Vehicle (MUV) he was driving caught fire near Jindal in Anchepalya on the Bengaluru-Tumakuru road in Karnataka.
The central locking system of the car jammed, making it impossible for the victim to escape the fire. There was no space for the victim to escape as the car quickly caught fire. T Anil Kumar, a resident of Shettyhalli, Jalahalli West, has been identified as the victim of the incident, which occurred on Tuesday afternoon, December 26. The victim suffered irreversible burns from the fire. He was successfully identified by MN Halli Police using the car's registration number.
The car is shown massively on fire in a video of the incident that has been widely shared on social media. Staff members at a nearby petrol station made vain attempts to put out the fire and save the 48-year-old victim. Witnesses at the scene reported that the car was travelling towards Bengaluru when the incident occurred, which occurred between 3 and 3:15 pm. They claimed that even though the victim attempted to open the doors, they became stuck when the car unexpectedly caught fire. The car burned into a ball in a matter of seconds, and smoke filled the street.
An eyewitness claimed that the driver of a bus that approached from behind also attempted to put out the fire with the car's fire extinguisher, according to a report published in The New Indian Express. All of the Maruti car's metal components were spared from the massive fire.
