In the video, a woman can be seen attempting to free herself after getting her dress caught in a metro coach's doors. Another passenger is seen attempting to pull the commuter as they both bang on the guard's cabin to alert them to the incident. The train accelerates and passes the platform, dragging the woman to the end of the platform railings before she can be saved. The video later shows her being carried on a stretcher to the hospital.
The video also reveals that there are no station guards present to save the commuter or signal the train driver to slam on the brakes and stop the train. Gauri Kumari Sahu, a woman who was hurt, was identified and taken to the Seven Hill Hospital in Andheri. The management of Mumbai Metro One paid her medical bills. Sahu has, however, lodged a written grievance against Metro One at the Chakala police station for the alleged negligence and insufficient safety precautions that resulted in her serious injuries.
