Ajmer News: The confidentiality and accuracy of answer sheet checking at the Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati (MDS) University in Ajmer have come under the scanner. This was after a video surfaced on social media where some students can be seen checking exam answer sheets of the university while joking around.

What’s Special About This Ajmer News?

In the now viral video, two students can be seen evaluating BA Semester-II (First Year) answer sheets of the Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University for the History of India subject.

A girl can be seen joking in the video, “I would not give you marks if you write like this.” The video seems authentic showing the exam subject, university logo and date. The questions being discussed by the two students are the exact same questions that appeared in the examination that was held on November 12 last year.

Students can be seen in the video reading a question written in the answer sheet where names of two Sangam literature epics were to be provided. The question appears at number six in the examination paper while one asking to describe the administration of Chandragupta Maurya was asked at number 14.

A young girl can be seen commenting that students should answer only 5 questions when the exam paper clearly says answer only 5 questions. She laughingly said writing more answers would not give you additional marks.

The Response of University

MDS University’s Examination Controller Dr. SK Taylor remarked that the video’s content is not a possibility. He remarked if any examiner has facilitated such an arrangement, it is a serious matter that is clearly against the rules of the University. Taylor remarked examiners are not even allowed to reveal the answer sheets to anyone, including their family members at home and an investigation would soon be initiated.
