The driver, allegedly trying to flee a street fight, injured three people and wrecked several vehicles. The terrifying moment was caught on camera and quickly went viral, triggering outrage across Uttar Pradesh.

The clash began near Bharat Talkies intersection, close to a liquor shop situated beside a temple and two mosques. Witnesses say the fight involved men from a Thar and a white Hyundai Venue. Locals say the liquor outlet has been a long-standing problem. “Disputes happen here every day. This shop has become a nightmare for us,” one resident told India TV. People living nearby blame it for attracting drunk crowds and disturbing religious harmony, given its proximity to places of worship.

Videos from the scene show the Thar smashing into parked bikes and narrowly missing pedestrians. Two bikes were completely destroyed. The white Venue was seen being dragged along the road. As the car sped through the crowd, people screamed and scattered, causing traffic chaos in the busy area.

Cops Investigate, Residents Demand Closure

Police reached the spot and took the injured to a nearby hospital. A senior officer confirmed that officials are scanning CCTV footage and viral videos to identify those involved. The officer said, “We’re taking this matter seriously and all individuals connected to the incident will be held accountable."

The incident has added fuel to demands for shutting down the liquor shop. Residents say this isn’t the first time things have spiralled out of control. With repeated complaints ignored in the past, they are now urging swift action. Many argue that having such a shop so close to religious sites is a recipe for disaster.

The video continues to circulate on social media, with people questioning the authorities’ delay in acting earlier.
