Delhi Viral Video: A shocking incident in Delhi has gone viral, showing an elderly couple being allegedly assaulted by a lawyer for feeding stray dogs in Paschim Vihar. The video has left many viewers shocked and sparked outrage on social media.

In the viral footage, a man wearing a blue t-shirt is seen hitting a woman. The attack reportedly happened because the couple was feeding stray dogs. Both victims suffered head injuries, and blood was visible on their clothes. The elderly woman, Niti, appeared hurt and distressed.
The video first appeared on Instagram via a dog lover’s account, ‘telefauna’. Later, dog activist Nikita Yadav shared another clip where Niti explained the incident. She claimed that Jai Ram Garg, who lives in their building, had been harassing them for feeding stray dogs.
Niti said, “Meri chest and personal parts pe uss badtameez aadmi ne gande tareeke se mara hai. Ek ghante se upar ho gya humein police station khade huye, humein yahaan koi help nahi di jaa rhi.” (“The accused hit my chest and other private parts in a cruel way. For over an hour, we stood outside the police station, but no help was provided.”)
An FIR has been registered, and four people were detained during the investigation. They have since been released.

Supreme Court Orders On Stray Dogs
Recently, the Supreme Court issued directions on managing stray dogs. A three-judge bench of Justices Vikram Nath, Sandeep Mehta, and NV Anjaria ordered that stray dogs be released after sterilisation, while aggressive or rabid dogs must be kept in shelters.
The apex court also banned public feeding of stray dogs and directed the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to create designated feeding zones in each ward. On August 11, Justices JB Pardiwala and R Mahadeva ordered that all stray dogs in Delhi-NCR be moved to shelters within eight weeks, after taking suo motu notice of rising dog bite cases.
