But a bride from Prayagraj who along with her family members and relatives to a guest house in the Khaga Kotwali area of Fatehpur district superseded all boundaries. She walked out of her own wedding over an incident of pet abuse.
Interestingly, netizens are split down the middle as no evidence points to the groom being at a mistake.

The groom’s side reached the wedding venue and initial ceremonies including the exchange of garlands were performed.

Interestingly, the groom Sumit Kesharwani has stated that he and the bride had already married in an Arya Samaj ceremony in Kanpur. However, the family of the bride agreed to solemnize the marriage formally, which prompted the grand Fatehpur wedding celebration.
Tensions started flaring in the morning’s early hours. Around 4 am, the bride’s pet dog started barking as the rituals of jewellery presentation were underway. A young man from the side of the groom beat the dog after being irritated by the continuing disturbance. The bride’s family strongly objected to it and soon the heated argument turned into a physical altercation.
Chairs and sticks came into the picture during the clash, as per eyewitnesses. Three people from the bride’s side – Rishabh Kesarwani, Sangeeta Devi and Shubham Gupta – sustained severe head injuries reportedly, which left them bleeding.
One or two members from the groom’s side also suffered minor injuries. Police soon emerged at the wedding venue and several wedding attendees fled. The wedding rituals were halted by the police after the matter was brought to attention of the Khaga police station.
Bride Refuses To Accept Marriage
The bride remarked that she is no longer interested to go ahead with the marriage. A panchayat was soon convened and the monetary exchanges as well as gifts were returned. A mutual agreement was reached between both sides and no party sought legal action or filed a police complaint.
