‘Go back to India’: Texas woman threatens Indians, arrested | Watch Video

A video is becoming increasingly viral in social media these days. A woman can be seen making racist remarks against Indian-American women in the restaurant’s parking outside Sixty Wines restaurant in Plano, Texas.

In the five-and-a-half-minute video, a woman can be seen hitting a man in the face and two women capturing the incident on their mobile phones. He has also threatened to shoot.

According to a statement issued by Plano police, the woman’s name is Esmeralda Upton. She was arrested on Thursday. The woman was charged with bodily injury and making terroristic threats. The investigation in this matter is going on. The police have taken this incident as a heinous crime.

The video was first shared on Facebook late Wednesday night. This was followed by a post on Reddit on Thursday went viral. In this video Upton asks the women standing there to “go back to India”.

The woman then claims that she is Mexican American. She says that the group of these four women is not American.

At the same time, one of the women of the other camp also retorted with her remark. She said, “If you’re Mexican why don’t you go back to Mexico?”

Upton gets furious at the woman who has captured this entire incident in her camera. During this, she also attacked her. Also threatens to shoot.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) issued a statement on Thursday. It said the organization has asked law enforcement to investigate and bring charges against Upton. Faizan Syed, executive director of CAIR, said, “The scale of the alleged physical assault against four Indian-American women in Plano is truly appalling. This type of hatred has no place in North Texas. We are looking forward to investigating this incident.”
