A 34-year-old Bengaluru techie, Atul Subhash, has tragically ended his life, leaving behind a heartbreaking video message. His viral recording has garnered widespread attention online. Originally from Uttar Pradesh, Atul worked as a senior executive in a private firm. He reportedly took this extreme step due to alleged harassment by his wife and her family.
In addition to the video, Atul left a 24-page death note. The note was emailed to several people and shared in a WhatsApp group associated with an NGO he was connected to. His body was discovered in Marathahalli, Bengaluru, with a sign in his home reading, “Justice is due.”

In the video, Atul Subhash is seen pouring his heart out, explaining his plight and the injustice he faced. He remarked: “It is better to commit suicide than give my money to make my enemy stronger.” He expressed deep guilt about leaving his parents in despair, saying, “Jiss umar mein mummy-papa ka sahara banna tha, uss umar mein unko jeevan bhar ka dukh deke ja raha hoon aisa.” He further requested that his last rites be delayed until justice is served, saying, “Meri astiyon ka visarjan nahi hona chahiye jab tak nyay na mile.”
Atul’s troubles began in 2022 when his wife filed severe allegations against him and his family. The accusations included dowry harassment, unnatural sex, and even murder. Although she later withdrew the charges, the ordeal left Atul emotionally devastated.
Atul also accused a family court judge in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, of corruption. According to him, the judge dismissed his complaints about false accusations and demanded a ₹5 lakh bribe to settle the case. His wife’s demands also escalated over time. Initially, she sought ₹1 crore as compensation, later increasing it to ₹3 crore.
The internet has erupted with reactions to Atul's heart-wrenching story. Many have expressed outrage over the legal challenges men face, with hashtags like #MenToo trending widely.
See the last words of Atul.
