A shocking Mumbai viral video has surfaced online showing an MNS worker slapping a woman and forcing her to apologise. The incident happened at Kalwa railway station in Thane and has sparked strong reactions across social media.
Mumbai Viral Video: MNS Worker Slams Woman For Abusing Her Husband
According to reports, it all started when a man accidentally bumped into a woman while getting off a crowded local train. He apologised immediately, but the woman reportedly lost her temper. She began shouting at him, used abusive language and even slapped him. Witnesses said she also made derogatory remarks about Marathi people.
The man’s wife (Swara Ghate), who is a Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) worker, then confronted the woman. Ghate took her to the MNS office in Kalwa, where the viral video was recorded. In the video, the woman can be seen apologising and saying, “Something happened to me today at Kalwa station. I hurt someone, a Maharashtrian man. I abused him, even raised my hand on him, for which I apologise to all of Maharashtra and the Maharashtrian people. Thank you.”
After the apology, Ghate slapped her and said, “Never say it again to the people of Maharashtra. Did you understand? That’s it!”

Explaining her actions, Ghate said, “A woman raises her hand on a man, and he does not say anything to her. Why does the law apply only to women? She kept abusing my husband for half an hour, but I didn’t say anything to her. I was going to file a case against her, but looking at her daughter and her family, I’m letting her go.”
The Mumbai viral video has divided public opinion. Many condemned the violence, while others supported Ghate’s reaction. NCP (SP) leader Supriya Sule spoke against the act. She said, “I request everyone that fighting and quarrelling is not a good thing. The police should investigate. The country will not run like this. The country will run only as per the Constitution. The country will not run through fighting and quarrelling.”
Fights On Mumbai’s Local Trains
Fights and heated arguments have become common in Mumbai’s local trains. Recently, several videos have surfaced showing passengers getting into physical fights. In one case, a brawl broke out in the ladies’ compartment over a seat dispute during rush hour. In another, a ticketless passenger at Borivli station attacked railway staff after being stopped.
These frequent clashes show how stress and overcrowding are leading to more anger among daily commuters. The Kalwa incident adds to the growing concern about safety and civility on local trains.
