Noida Viral News: 15-Month-Old Assaulted, Daycare Faces Outrage
A disturbing video from Noida’s Sector-137 has shaken parents across the city. Rimjhim Jethani shared CCTV footage on X showing an alleged assault at Paras Tierra Society’s daycare. The clip shows a caretaker slapping, pushing, biting, and hitting a crying 15-month-old girl with a plastic bat. Police said the 16-year-old caretaker was hired just two weeks ago.
The child’s mother noticed bite marks on both thighs while changing her clothes and rushed her to a hospital. Doctors confirmed the injuries were human bites. The complainant, a homemaker, lives with her IT-professional husband and their daughter in the same society. Sector-142 SHO Vinod Kumar Mishra said the caretaker, a Shahdara resident, has been taken into custody.
The FIR also alleges verbal abuse when the mother confronted the caretaker and the daycare director. Police have registered the case under sections 115(2), 352, and 351 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Police Confirm Maid’s Arrest, Probe Underway in Noida Assault Case
They arrested the accused caretaker and placed her in custody for formal questioning. Station house officer Vinod Kumar Mishra said medical checks confirmed bite marks on the toddler’s thighs. The FIR named the daycare and recorded the mother’s allegation against the caretaker and the director. The police registered the case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita late Thursday night.
Officials said the caretaker told them she was playing and suddenly bit the child without reason. A senior officer said the toddler’s persistent crying appeared to have irritated the caretaker, prompting violence. The daycare director said she was unaware of the assault when questioned by investigators, police added. Authorities said the probe will examine staffing, CCTV footage timelines, and the daycare’s hiring records.
Parents, Daycare Urged to Enforce Strict Safety and CCTV Measures
Parents should verify daycare credentials, ask for registration documents, and check staff background records regularly. Ask to see recent CCTV footage and insist on live monitoring access for parents where possible. Visit the daycare unexpectedly to observe routines and staff behaviour during arrival, meals, and playtimes. Daycare admins must run police verification and age checks to ensure they do not hire minors illegally.
Set child-to-caregiver ratios, follow licensed guidelines, and display emergency contacts and protocols plainly for parents. Install clear grievance channels, record complaints, and act immediately on any report of mistreatment or neglect. Train staff in child-first behaviour management, safe handling, and techniques to calm crying infants properly. Ensure regular health checks, signed consent forms, and transparent communication about injuries to parents immediately.
This incident shook the Sector 137 community and raised urgent questions about childcare safety today. Parents and providers must act now to strengthen checks, oversight, and emergency protocols immediately nationwide.
