Patna Viral Video: Woman Forced Into Prostitution For Rs 300, Brutally Beaten By Police, Railway Seva Flags Authorities

An extremely disturbing video from Patna Railway Station has gone viral, showing police officers beating and dragging a woman late at night. The woman is said to have engaged in prostitution for just Rs 300, faced a brutal assault near the busy station area.

The footage shows two female police using lathis to strike her while roughly dragging her across different spots, from near vehicles to railway buildings. They finally take her somewhere in an auto rickshaw (probably police station).

The video triggered strong reactions on social media. One user wrote, “Koi majboori hi hogi. Wo khatakhat 8500 Rs kahan hai, ye hai Congress ke vaade,” reflecting on the woman’s desperate situation.

Another commented, “300 rupaye mein jism nahi, ek majboori bik rahi thi. Police ki laathi se gunaah nahi mit'te, haalaat badalne pad'te hain. Sawal ye nahi ki wo kya kar rahi thi… sawal ye hai ki use karna kyon pada?"

Many expressed that there’s a need to understand the reasons behind her actions instead of just blaming her. They also questioned the police’s harsh tactics.

Authorities Alerted After Video Goes Viral

RailwaySeva, the official railway user support account, responded by confirming the incident had been reported to the relevant authorities. They tagged the Divisional Railway Manager, Danapur and wrote, “संबंधित अधिकारियों को सूचित किया जा रहा है।”
