Shahjahanpur Viral Video: A disturbing incident unfolded at Shahjahanpur railway station in Uttar Pradesh, when a railway employee attempted suicide due to harassment by his senior. A video of the incident went viral on social media, capturing the emotional moments of the employee sitting on the tracks in despair.
The viral video, shared on X (formerly Twitter) by the account @RailSamachar, shows Harvinder, an assistant at the Electric Sub Station (ESS) sitting on the railway track with a freight train stopped just a few feet away.

Harvinder explained to the train driver that he intended to end his life because of persistent harassment by his superior, the Senior Section Engineer (SSE). Harvinder, visibly upset, shared his frustrations, stating that the SSE was aware of his lung disease and physical limitations. Despite this, the senior officer allegedly forced him to carry out strenuous tasks, ignoring his health condition. Harvinder mentioned that his tongue was injured, making it difficult for him to eat, yet the harassment continued.
As the viral video unfolded, other employees tried to calm Harvinder down, urging him to reconsider his drastic decision. The GRP (Government Railway Police) and RPF (Railway Protection Force) quickly intervened and brought him off the track. Harvinder was then taken to the police station, where an agreement was made between him and the SSE to resolve the matter.
According to GRP Station In-Charge Rehan Ali, the incident occurred on Thursday afternoon, and the video surfaced later. Thankfully, Harvinder was safely removed from the tracks, and the situation was resolved without further escalation.
