The incident occurred when a group of women, reportedly BJP activists, disrupted the rally by waving black cloths and shouting slogans against the State Government and the Chief Minister. Visibly irked by the disruption, Siddaramaiah appeared to lose his cool, calling the officer to question the security arrangements and seemingly expressing his frustration physically.
The video quickly spread across social media platforms, drawing sharp criticism from opposition leaders and netizens who questioned the Chief Minister's behavior towards a uniformed officer in public. Many users termed it “disrespectful” and “unbecoming of a leader,” while Siddaramaiah’s supporters argued that the disruption was politically motivated and his reaction, though unfortunate, stemmed from heightened emotions during a tense moment.
So far, there has been no official statement from the Chief Minister’s Office regarding the viral video. However, the Opposition is likely to raise the issue further, adding another layer of political tension in Karnataka’s already heated environment.
