Valentine’s Day: ‘Pavitrata Kho Dete Hain…’ Premanand Ji Maharaj Opposes Dating Culture, Tells Students To Stay Away From GF-BF And Live-In Relationships

Premanand Ji Maharaj’s viral video on Valentine’s Day warns students against dating and live-in relationships. Check it out below!

Valentine’s Day is often linked with romance, gifts and social media posts. However, an old video of Premanand Ji Maharaj has resurfaced online and is now going viral again.

The clip (first shared around last year’s Valentine’s Day) shows the spiritual leader sharing strong views on modern relationships. His message is aimed mainly at students.

Valentine’s Day: Premanand Ji Maharaj’s Viral Message

In the video, Premanand Ji Maharaj advises young people to stay focused on their studies. He warns them against getting distracted by girlfriend-boyfriend culture and live-in relationships. Speaking directly to students, he stresses the value of discipline, clarity and character.

He says, “Hamari taraf se prarthana hai ki padhne-likhne wale bachchon ko girlfriend-boyfriend wala jo aaj ka natak chala hai, yeh nahin karna chahiye. Agar hamari baat koi sun raha hai aur samajh raha hai, chahe yeh kahin bhi sune, hamari sab bachchon se prarthana hai – aisi galti mat karna.”

He continues, “Kyunki yeh galti tumhare jeevan ko aisi jagah pahucha degi jahan tum na parmarath ke layak rahoge, na swarth ke. Yeh jo aaj ka nautanki-natak chala hai na–kai–kai boyfriend, kai-kai girlfriend, aur ab to living relation – yeh sab jeevan mein nahin hona chahiye.”

He concludes with a warning, “Isse bada achran kuch nahin hota. Jab bachche in cheezon mein utar jaate hain, to apni pavitrata kho dete hain, apni mansikta bigaad lete hain, aur yahan tak ki apne jeevan ko nasht kar dete hain.”

The video has sparked debate online. Some viewers agree with his message about focus and values. Others feel the comments are too conservative.

Other Spiritual Leaders On Modern Relationships

Premanand Ji Maharaj is not the only spiritual figure to speak about dating trends. Dhirendra Krishna Shastri (widely known as Bageshwar Baba) has often discussed the impact of changing relationship patterns. In several discourses, he has linked rising social conflicts to what he describes as “Western influence.” He highlights the role of understanding, responsibility and Sanskar in building stable partnerships.

Similarly, Aniruddhacharya Ji has openly criticised live-in relationships. He has questioned their moral structure and argued that such arrangements lack long-term commitment. His speeches frequently emphasise Vedic teachings and traditional marriage values.

Meanwhile, Valentine’s Day 2026 is being celebrated today (Feb 14, 2026).
