However, in small towns it is still considered a sin and many young people even have to hide it in their homes. If it is a village matter, swords are raised when one hears of such a tradition. But do you know that there is a place in India where living in a Live-in Relationship is very common and parents themselves allow it to their children. Not only that, here women also become mothers even before marriage. Yes, you read that right!

Garasia tribe follows the tradition of live-in relationship

It is about the Garasia tribe living in Rajasthan and Gujarat. If you look closely at the traditions of this tribe, you will have an idea of the living relationships today. In Garasia tribe, men and women live together without marriage, and women also become mothers before marriage. Women have the right to choose the boy that suits them.

A two-day wedding fair is organized here. Boys and girls gather at these fairs, and if they like someone, they choose to stay with that person in another place instead of their village. Then, they start living together without getting married. During this time, they can also have a child, which happens according to their wishes. Then they return to the village and their parents marry them in great splendor. If they want, they can live without marriage

Here is the reason behind the tradition

The practice of living in this tribe is long-standing. It is believed that many years ago four brothers of this tribe left and settled elsewhere. 3 of them got married according to Indian customs, but one brother had a relationship with a girl without getting married. These three brothers had no children, but the fourth brother had a child. Since then, the tradition of living here began. According to reports, Garasian women can choose a second partner at the second fair even if they have a first partner.
