In a time when language differences often cause arguments, an American woman is going viral for a lovely reason. Candace Karne, who is married to Aniket Karne from Maharashtra, posted a sweet Instagram video where she tries to speak Marathi. The internet loved her effort.
The viral video starts with Candace saying, “Shubh sakal, kaisa ahes? (Good morning, how are you?)” with a smile. Her accent isn’t perfect, but her effort is honest. Aniket smiles warmly, clearly moved. When he replies in Marathi, Candace laughs and says, “I didn’t quite catch that,” which many found funny and relatable.
She continues using phrases like “Namaskar” and “Raatri jevaaylaa kaay ahe? (What’s for dinner?)”. When Aniket says he made chicken, she happily responds, “Dhanyawaad (Thank you)”, making the moment even cuter.
The couple shared the video on their Instagram page. Candace wrote, “I’m not perfect, but I’m trying. Go easy on me.” Her honesty touched people worldwide. The viral video now has around million views, with lots of love and praise in the comments.
Check out some online reactions below:
“MNS would have happy tears.”
“Next time say aho aika and watch him blush.”
“Ask him Jevlas Ka, he will blush.”
“10 points for the effort.”
“Awww! Kithi goad ahes ga tu.”
“Ani ithe lok 30 varsh Maharashtrat rahun Marathi shikat nahiyt.”
The video has become a lovely example of how couples from different cultures can connect through small efforts. Especially now, when language issues are big news in parts of India, Candacé’s video feels like a positive message.
This isn’t the first time a couple like this has gone viral. A few months ago, Indian content creator Neha Arora and her Korean husband Jongsoo Lee also shared a fun video. In it, Neha helps Jongsoo speak Hindi while he holds their baby. Like Candacé’s clip, their moment was filled with love and laughter.
What makes these videos so special is how real they feel. These aren’t formal lessons. They are genuine moments between couples trying to understand each other better. And clearly, people across the world are loving every second of it.
