A scary video from Amritsar's Putlighar area has gone viral. The famous page “Ghar Ke Kalesh” on X (formerly Twitter) shared the 29-second viral video, which has sparked a lot of discussion about public safety and how stray dogs are becoming a bigger problem in Indian cities.
In the video, a man is walking down an empty street when suddenly, a pack of mean stray dogs charges at him.

The video went popular for a number of reasons, including
Within hours, the post had a lot of comments, some of which were nice to the man and some of which were mean to the local government. A lot of people wondered how long people would have to fight for themselves before something is done to stop this from happening.
People on social media vented their anger, tagging local governments and calling for action right away. Some people said the same thing, saying that attacks by stray dogs are a "daily horror" in many places.
Concerns raised included the fact that there aren't enough successful programs to sterilize stray animals.
There are about 60 million wild dogs living in India. Laws like the Animal Birth Control (Dogs) Rules, 2001 aren't being followed very well. More and more people are getting bitten by dogs in many places, which is very scary because it can lead to death.
Experts stress how important it is to have structured ABC (Animal Birth Control) programs, community teaching on how to live together with animals, and strong ways to report problems.
This popular video is more than just a trendy clip; it shows a problem that keeps happening in cities. Even though the man's quick thought probably saved his life, this shows how badly the city needs to change. Making places safe shouldn't be a nice-to-have; it should be a basic right.
