Viral Video: a chilling video from the jungle shows when the real predator attacks, even if one gets silenced. The supposedly smartest creature on Earth then stands still to capture the dreadful scene on the mobile phone.
One disturbing video of a python slowly enclosing a baby monkey is giving a sense of fear and chills among netizens. One can’t help but question human apathy in the face of suffering.
Viral Clip Shows Python Attacking Helpless Baby Monkey
In the viral video shared by Jamil Ansari on Twitter, a tiny baby monkey can be seen desperately struggling in the deadly grip of a massive Burmese python. The snake’s thick, muscular body coils tightly around the monkey, each loop squeezing harder as it slowly constricts its prey.
The terrified monkey wriggles, claws, and twists in panic, but every attempt to escape looks weaker than the last. What is a brutal yet natural scene of the wild food chain plays out in full view, while bystanders merely hit record on their mobile phones, capturing the chilling moment instead of intervening.
Netizens Criticise Bystanders for Recording the Incident Instead of Offering Help
What has shocked the viewers even more is the cold behaviour of the people who record the viral video. Instead of capturing the video, they could have tried to save the life of the poor baby monkey. Netizens come up with widely critical comments by saying “Bilkul bhai log video banaa lete hain lekin bachane ki koshish Nahin karte”.
One user notes that now people only seek chances to make videos by saying “Bhai aajkal log video banane mein Hi a gaye samne ghatna hoti Rahe yah unko fark nahin padta”. However, people are also considerate about the food cycle, as it is important for the snake to prey and survive as well. One user mindfully says, “It’s the food cycle. The python is not killing the monkey for fun. The monkey is the food of the python.”
Wildlife Experts Explain Python Predatory Behaviour
Wildlife experts, however, suggest that it is wise not to intervene in the process when the python is in its attacking mood. This predator is known for preying on small animals like birds, reptiles, and even small mammals. Once they make that deadly coil around their prey, it becomes impossible to escape.
While this predatory behaviour is natural in the wild, it does not need to be viral video content. Such dreadful sights can disturb the viewers and increase violence against these endangered snakes as well.
The viral video thus brought attention to the thoughtless human behaviour. While the predator-prey encounter is a part of nature, the anger of the viewers is real, considering the inhuman stances of men.
