Paanch sau ke note par Gandhi ji ki photo ki jagah meri photo???? Kuch bhi ho sakta hai!” His reaction reflected the sentiments of many who were surprised by the audacity of the counterfeiters.
In the video, instead of Mahatma Gandhi’s iconic image, Kher’s face was displayed on the ₹500 notes. The incident left not just the actor but several social media users astonished. Many couldn’t believe their eyes as fake notes bearing Anupam Kher’s face circulated across various platforms.
Ahmedabad Police Seize Fake Currency Worth ₹1.6 Crore
The Ahmedabad police quickly took action and seized the fake currency. The counterfeit notes were found with Mehul Thakkar, a bullion firm owner, who had been tricked with the same amount. A police case has been filed against unknown people. Besides Anupam Kher’s face on the notes, the fake currency also had “Resole Bank of India” written instead of “Reserve Bank of India.”
