Viral Video: A video is going viral of an elephant peacefully requesting a man to make way on the street. Elephants are huge creatures, with long trunks and pointy tusks, they are definitely scary animals. One would expect them to be ferocious creatures, charging at anyone they deem to be a threat. And they are like that when the situation warrants it.
However, despite their great size, elephants are known to be gentle creatures. Studies have found that elephants have been known to avoid eating type of acacia tree because it is home to ants which often frighten the elephants.
Elephants are essentially peaceful and peace-loving animals despite their undisputed strength and enormous size. They are also essentially very fearful animals that are terrified of the unknown. Like human children they are more fearful of the dark, for like us they have limited night vision.
Gentle Giant Politely Requests Man to Make Way
This viral video is gaining traction quickly, with over 50,000 views. The reason for its popularity is the shocking nature of its contents.
The video begins with a man standing on the street minding his business. Suddenly we see an elephant making its way on the street. However, the sweet animal simply gestures with its trunk for the man to move and stands behind him politely. As soon as the man notices, he runs for his life, obviously scared to death. The elephant simply continues on his way without paying any mind to the frightened man.
People reacted in awe to the funny yet unexpected events in the video. One user commented, relaying the story of a herd of elephants who peacefully passed through his village at night without disturbing any of the villagers.
Another commented, “The gentle giant can be super unpredictable too. That man was lucky, the pachyderm was in a good mood that day.”
While another user had a similar sentiment as the man in the video, commenting, “Heart attack moment.”
