A scary video from an IndiGo flight from Goa to Lucknow has gone viral on social media. The people on flight 6E 6811 were going through a lot of rough air.  There is chaos inside the cabin, as heard over and over again are panicked screams and seats shake wildly.  The video clip was shared by many people and was seen thousands of times in just a few hours, which caused a discussion about passenger safety and crew communication.

People freak out as the plane shakes

The accident happened soon after the plane took off from Goa's Mopa Airport on June 16, 2025.  People on board could be heard yelling and hanging on tight as the plane hit a patch of rough air.  Some people allegedly cried as the luggage compartments in the overhead doors shook. One woman on the video that went viral says, "I'm devastated and in shock," as she talks about how the plane "lost altitude suddenly."

IndiGo Confirms That Turbulence Is Caused by Weather

IndiGo said in a statement that they were aware of the rough weather but that all normal steps were followed and the flight safely landed in Lucknow. The airline said the problem was caused by active monsoons, which are usual along India's western coast at this time of year.

"No one on board was hurt."  The airline stated that the flight was run by experienced crew members who followed all safety rules.
