Viral Video: A Pakistani man is making the claim in a now-viral video that there is a connection between the devastating Dubai floods and the building of the Hindu temple BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Abu Dhabi. As the region struggled with the aftermath of the flood, the recent downpour that flooded Dubai sparked attention throughout the world.

The person in question connected the flooding of Dubai to what he called divine vengeance and blamed it on the construction of the BAPS Mandir, referring to it as a temple for "idol worshippers" in the "land of idol breakers.". His claim went viral on social media and caused a huge uproar, sparking conversations and debates on a variety of platforms.
It was a historic day for the local religious community when the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir opened on February 14. The conversation was sparked by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's suggestion to build a Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi during his first trip to the country in 2015. The BAPS temple was built on land donated by the UAE government a move that Prime Minister Modi hailed as a critical step toward fostering global unity and interfaith harmony.
Despite the disputed assertions, specialists from the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) provided light on the meteorological condition, emphasising that the recent floods were a natural occurrence. Scientists have linked the rising frequency of severe weather events, such as the rains in the UAE and Oman to human-caused global warming. The NCM anticipates mild to moderate rain, promising the public that the situation will improve in the next days.
