Viral Video: RPF Officer Saves Man Who Fell on Railway Track

Viral Video: In India, it is quite common to see people crossing railway tracks instead of using the manned level-crossing gates. Some do this because they are in a hurry and do not wish to miss their train, while others are simply impatient and could not be bothered. This carelessness can cost people their lives. 

Several fatal accidents happen in India daily, due to this negligence of passengers, and the Railway Protection Force (RPF).

A video is going viral in which a man seemingly slips and falls onto the railway tracks. With barely a few minutes for the next train’s arrival, the situation was very dangerous and could have ended badly. However, an RPF officer standing nearby jumped at the scene with no delay, and pulled the man up immediately, just in time for the train to arrive safely. 

The viral video has caused people to gain a new respect for RPF officers and has garnered nearly 4 lakh views, and over 15 thousand retweets.

The video was posted by the official Ministry of Railways account, and was captioned, “Prompt response by RPF personnel saved the precious life of a man who slipped and fell on tracks minutes before the arrival of a train at KR Puram Railway Station, Bengaluru.”

Netizens in Awe of Officer’s Quick Response

The comment section was filled with people in shock at the situation and mentioned their newfound respect for these officers.

One user commented, “That is the Railway system organized by great MR, an inspired personality in securing and safely traveling of passengers. Concerned RPF uniform person should be felicitated with an award and signified qualified entries in his service record.”

While another said, “They are the real heroes of our country.”

There were several comments saluting the officer, with one user commenting, “A big salute to the cop and his bravery, while the ones on the opposite side were hesitant.”
