In a shocking incident that has sparked widespread concern, Chinese authorities are investigating a case where a surgeon allegedly punched a patient undergoing eye surgery. The incident came to light when a video went viral on social media platforms, raising questions about the safety and ethical practices within the healthcare system.
The video in question captures disturbing moments during the surgery, where the surgeon, focused on operating on the patient's eyes, appears to punch the patient in the head multiple times.
This surgeon punched an 80-year-old lady in the face for moving during surgery. Now she's blind in one eye, and everyone in China wants justice for her.

The exact date and time of the incident remain unclear, adding to the urgency of the ongoing investigation. Aier China, the parent group of the hospital, has taken immediate action by suspending the involved surgeon, and the hospital's CEO, responsible for the facility where the incident occurred in 2019, has been dismissed.
Aier China, known for operating a chain of eye hospitals, confirmed that the incident took place at its hospital in Guigang, a southwestern Chinese city. The report indicates that the patient, an 82-year-old woman, experienced discomfort during the surgery due to local anesthesia, leading to involuntary movements of her head and eyes.
The surgeon reportedly resorted to treating the patient roughly, citing an emergency situation exacerbated by the patient's inability to communicate effectively in Mandarin. The patient, who spoke a local dialect, did not respond to the surgeon's warnings. The local authorities revealed injuries on her forehead, and her son, speaking to local media, claimed that the hospital management apologized and provided $70 as compensation after the surgery.
The aftermath of the incident remains uncertain, with the patient's son asserting that his mother is now blind in her left eye. However, it's yet to be established whether the loss of vision is directly linked to the alleged assault during the surgery. As authorities delve into the matter, concerns about patient safety, communication barriers, and ethical practices within the healthcare system are being scrutinized, highlighting the need for accountability and transparency in medical procedures.
