A public emergency has been declared in the capital city of the United States, Washington DC. The mayor of Washington DC has directed that the emergency will stay for 15 days.

“President Trump continues to fan rage and violence by contending that the Presidential election was invalid,” according to a statement from Mayor Bowser’s office.

“I have issued Mayor’s Order 2021-003, extending the public emergency declared earlier today for a total of 15 days, until and unless provided for by further Mayoral Order,” Mayor Muriel Bowser tweeted.

The development comes after unruly supporters of President Donald Trump rushed into the capital and tried to seize it.

The protest resulted in the death of a woman in an open firing. Thousands of Trump supporters breached security perimeters and entrapped the Congress meets.

The supporters falsy claims widespread voter fraud in Trump’s loss against Joe Biden.
