“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.” In our tech-driven world, screens have become constant companions, leaving our eyes overworked and fatigued. Ignoring the strain only worsens the problem, affecting both vision and overall well-being.

To tackle this, expert yoga inspector Hira Lal shares an easy yet powerful routine to ease digital eye strain. His simple morning eye care exercise can rejuvenate tired eyes and bring lasting relief. As a bonus, he also reveals additional practices and lifestyle tips to keep your eyes healthy, fresh, and ready for the day ahead.

Inspection Advice to Look More at Greenery

Yoga instructor and Meditation coach Hira Lal shared an exclusive tip for better eye health for this digital generation. On a recent Instagram reel, he shares that nowadays, children and even adults are watching mobile phones all the time. This often leads to excessive dryness and pain inside the eyes. Thus, they need to look after their eye health with greater care.

Then he shares a quick tip on this, advising all to take out at least 2/3 minutes of their morning to do a simple eye exercise. He advises us to come out in greenery or at least look at any green colour with wide, full eyes. He says to look at all the directions with wide eyes to make the eye muscles expand and rejuvenate.

Daily Eye Care Routine You Need

Besides this simple exercise, there are other eye care routines that you can follow to lessen the digital strain on your eyes. Experts always advise putting all the devices at arm’s length and at the edge of your eye level.

You can follow the 20-20-20 rule. Here, you will have to shift your gaze from your screen every 20 minutes to look at any object at 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds.

The dryness and irritation can also occur due to the reduced blink rate when you look at your phone. So, make sure you blink more and apply lubricating eye drops for ease.

Foods That Support Eye Health

Apart from the external exercises, it is very important to take care of your eyes internally. Therefore, you must have more leafy greens like broccoli and spinach in your diet. They have antioxidants to protect your retina and macula.

Eat more omega-3-rich fish and citrus fruits, as they contain Vitamin A and beta carotene. Both of these will improve your night vision and protect your eye muscles from shrinking with constant screen time.

By including these in your diet and exercising with your eyes, you can relax your vision and strengthen it. The vital eye workout tip by the Yoga expert should definitely be an eye-opener for you.
