1928 Amsterdam

In 1928, India participated for the first time in the Olympics and won the Gold by defeating the home team by 3-0.

1932 LA

Indian Hockey Team defended their title in the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics. They defeated the USA by 24-1, the largest victory ever in the Olympics to date.

1936 Berlin

Under the captaincy of the Greatest Major Dhyan Chand, India won the third consecutive title by beating Germany, 8-1.

1948 London

In the 1948 London Olympics, the Indian team came back even stronger and won another gold medal for the nation. They defeated Great Britain by 4-0.

1952 Helsinki

In the 1952 Helsinki Olympics, India defeated the Netherlands by 6-1 in the final and was crowned as the Olympic leader one more time.

1956 Melbourne

In the 1956 Melbourne Olympics, the Indian Hockey Team once again took the command and brought the glory home by defeating Pakistan by 1-0.

1964 Tokyo

After losing out on the Gold medal in the 1960 Olympics, India made a comeback in 1964 and won the title back by beating Pakistan.

1980 Moscow

1980 Moscow was the last time, India won the gold medal in the Olympics. They defeated Spain this time by 4-3.
