Then President Ram Manath Kovind announced on January 14, 2021, the start of the fundraising campaign for the building of Ram Mandir. He gave the Net Trust a donation of Rs 5 lakh.

Govind Bhai Dholakia, a diamond merchant from Gujarat, has given away Rs 11 crore. Sri Ramakrishna Exports, a diamond enterprise, is owned by him.

America made the first contribution from outside the country. Eleven thousand rupees was contributed by a Ram devotee who was seated in America.
