Paris Olympics 2024 is set to create history with an unusual style of opening ceremony. The Olympic committee decided to hold the opening ceremony on the River Seine of the 'City of Light.'

The Paris Olympics 2024 opening ceremony will be the biggest in history. It is not taking place in the stadium to honor the city of Paris and its waterways.

Spent Billions to Clean Seine

This major river in Paris used to be extremely dirty for the past 100 years. To clean the river, France launched a $1.5 billion project which ran for 8 years.

How will Athletes March?

Each national Olympic committee will be given a boat that will float for around 6.5 KM carrying the athletes. It will start from the Austerlitz Bridge and will end at Trocadéro Palace across Eiffel tower.

For the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics 2024, the Indian contingent will appear at the 84th position.

How Many Spectators?

The Paris Olympics opening ceremony will be the biggest because of the number of spectators as well. There are rumours that around 3 lakh people will be joining the grand opening ceremony.
