Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away due to multi-organ failure in Mumbai.
Mangeshkar, the ‘Nightingale of India’, breathed her last at 8:12 am in Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital.

Lata Mangeshkar is the eldest of the other Mangeshkar siblings- sisters Meena Khadikar, Asha Bhosle, Usha Mangeshkar, and brother Hridaynath Mangeshkar.
Talking to reporters, Asha Bhosle had yesterday said everyone is "praying for Lata Didi" and her condition was "stable."
Lata Mangeshkar began her career in music, juggling singing with acting parts in Marathi films.
In 1945, Ms Mangeshkar had an early hit in the song Aayega Aanewala from the film Mahal, starring Madhubala.
Lata Mangeshkar has had a career spanning over 60 years and has recorded songs for over a thousand Hindi films.
The veteran singer has sung songs in over thirty-six Indian languages and foreign languages.
