Hooda used to fight in the 72 Kg category and has recently increased her weight to participate in the 76kg category.

She is the first Indian wrestler to represent India in the heavyweight wrestling category of 76 kg at the Olympics.

U-23 World Championship

In the U-23 World Championship, Reetika Hooda won the Gold medal in the 76 kg category. She is the first female wrestler from India to secure the title.

In the 2023 Astana Asian Championship, the Indian grappler clinched the third spot in the Women's 72 Kg event.

Quota for Paris

Reetika Hooda earned the Quota for the Paris Olympics. She fought in the 2024 Asian Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and qualified for the Olympic games.
