In the first edition of the T20 World Cup, legendary Pakistani player Shahid Afridi won the Player of the Series Award. He took 12 wickets and scored 91 runs in the tournament.

Tillakaratne Dilshan (2009)

One of the most famous batsmen from Sri Lanka, Tillakaratne Dilshan became the Player of the Series in 2009. He scored 317 runs.

Kevin Pietersen (2010)

In 2010, England won the World Cup and its player Kevin Pietersen became the Player of the Series, he scored 248 runs in the tournament.

Shane Watson (2012)

Australia's exceptional player Shane Watson has scored 249 runs and took 11 wickets to become the Player of the Series that year.

Virat Kohli (2014)

King Kohli aka Virat Kohli won the title of the Player of the Series in T20 World Cup 2014. India lost in the final that year. He scored 319 runs in the tournament.

Virat Kohli once again in the 2016 World Cup scored 273 runs and even took a wicket to win the Player of the Series Award.

David Warner (2021)

Australia won the title of the T20 World Cup winners for the first time in 2021 and their spectacular player, David Warner won the Player of the Series award as he scored 289 runs.

Sam Curran (2022)

Former Champions England won their second T20 World Cup in 2022 and Sam Curran became the Player of the Series, he took wickets, he was also the first player to win both POTM and POTS in the finals.
