Afghanistan girls poisoned:Around 80 school girls in Afghanistan were hospitalised after being allegedly poisoned. According to sources, the poisoning targeted two girls in the Afghan province of Sar-e-Pol. The incident happened amidst intense scrutiny over girls education in the war hit country. Ever since Taliban took over and barred most teenage girl students .In Afghanistan girls are not allowed to study beyond 6th grade including university.They are also barred from jobs and public spaces. Both Primary schools are near to each other and are targeted one after the other. The students have been shifted to the hospital and they are doing fine now.
No organization took responsibility for the attack
Iran was also targeted by lots of poisoning incidents in most of the girl schools. Thousands of students said they are fed up of these incidents. So far no one has claimed responsibility for the incident The investigation is underway and it is believed that someone with a grudge paid a third party to carry out the attacks. It is seen as the first assault since Taliban swept to power in august 2012 and began crackdown on the rights and freedom of Afghanistan girls. However the department gave no information about the age of the students being poisoned, as per reports the girls were in grades 1 to 6.
