Suicide bombing: A suicide bombing in Pakistan killed nine police officials on Monday. Giving details, a police official said the suicide bomber rammed his motorcycle into a police truck in the area causing a massive explosion.

 At least nine police officials were killed in the suicide blast in the Sibi area of Balochistan on Monday.

The explosion occurred after a suicide bomber rammed a motorcycle into a police truck in the area, a police spokesperson was quoted as saying.

Attack close to Quetta

According to spokesman Mehmood Khan Notizai, the attack took place in Sibi, a city some 160 km (100 miles) east of Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province.

Hospital officials said at least 7 policemen were wounded in the attack, the latest in a series targeting police personnel in Pakistan.

So far no one has claimed responsibility for Monday's attack.

Ethnic Baloch guerrillas have been fighting the government for decades, accusing it of exploiting Balochistan's rich gas and mineral resources.
