United States President Joe Biden on Tuesday said that the country will have enough vaccine by July end to inoculate the entire population of America. The President said that he will be able to secure around 600 million doses of the vaccine by the end of the July.
"By the end of July we'll have 600 million doses, enough to vaccinate every American," said Biden at a CNN town hall meeting.
Earlier, Biden had claimed that the vaccines will be available to all by spring, but a recent statement by White House that the process may see delay due to unavailability of the vaccine.
Meanwhile, Biden has said that he would ask health officials to intensify the vaccination process as he wishes students to return to schools as early as possible. He said teachers should be moved up to the hierarchy.
When he was asked when town hall session will see life get back to normal, Biden said, " by next Christmas we'll be in a very different circumstances."
"A year from now I think that there'll be significantly fewer people that have to be socially distanced, have to wear a mask," Biden said, adding that he couldn't be sure.
