In a social media post, Dhanda claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had weakened India’s relations with crude oil supplying countries and accused the government of compromising national interests. According to him, the consequences of these developments are now being faced by people across the country.

Meanwhile, Arvind Kejriwal also raised concerns over the LPG supply situation, stating that gas supply to most commercial establishments has been halted across the country, with the exception of educational institutions and hospitals.

Kejriwal said that under the current arrangement, LPG is being prioritised mainly for domestic consumption, which could create challenges for several commercial sectors that rely heavily on gas for daily operations.

He further warned that the situation related to gas and oil supply could worsen in the coming days if supply disruptions continue due to ongoing geopolitical developments.

Reacting to the criticism, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas said that steps are being taken to address the situation. In a statement, the ministry said it has directed oil refineries to increase LPG production and utilise the additional output primarily for domestic consumption.

The ministry also indicated that the decision has been taken in view of global geopolitical disruptions affecting fuel supply chains, and that efforts are being made to ensure adequate availability of LPG for households across the country.

Officials said the government is closely monitoring the supply situation and working with oil companies to maintain stable distribution of LPG during the current period of international uncertainty.
