Apple never considered removing Twitter from App Store says Elon Musk after meeting Tim Cook

The growing dispute between Twitter and Apple has almost come to an end. Controversy came to an end when Twitter’s new owner Elon Musk met Apple CEO Tim Cook. The meeting between the two veteran businessmen has also been very fruitful. Elon Musk has tweeted that he has met the CEO of Apple and resolved his disputes.

Elon Musk wrote in his tweet – The conversation went well, among other things we have resolved the issue that Apple will not remove Twitter from its App Store. Tim has made it clear that Apple never thought about this. Controversy about this came to the fore when Musk had said recently that the iPhone maker could remove Twitter from its App Store. He had said that Apple has also reduced the number of advertisements given to Twitter.

Musk further wrote- Thank you Tim Cook for bringing me to the beautiful headquarters of Apple. Earlier on Monday, Musk had targeted Apple and said that perhaps this company does not like free speech in America. At the same time, he had expressed apprehension that it may happen that Apple may also remove Twitter from its App Store.

This meeting between the world’s richest person Elon Musk and Apple CEO Tim Cook has suddenly come to the fore amid rising controversies. The dispute between Musk and Cook was increasing since Monday, but now after a sudden meeting, things seem to be back on track.

Apple among Twitter’s biggest advertisers

Apple is one of the companies that advertises the most on Twitter. Apple has full control of running Twitter on the iPhone. This is the reason why Musk had expressed apprehension about Apple in the past. The two businessmen never had a personal meeting before Elon Musk bought Twitter. However, after Donald Trump won the presidential election in 2016, both were seen together in an event.

Ever since Musk bought Twitter, advertisements on this social media platform have started coming down. Many companies expressed apprehension that now Twitter may have to face more bad times regarding content. Musk himself had said that his company is losing $4 million a day. He also warned the employees that the possibility of bankruptcy of the company cannot be ruled out.

Here, Zuckerberg also targeted Apple

On one hand, the dispute between Musk and Cook seems to be getting resolved, then Mark Zuckerberg, the owner of Meta, opened the front. He said that Apple’s control over the App Store is spoiling the ecosystem. Apple is the only company that decides which app will run on its device. He said publicly in an event that Apple is trying to control what is going on on its devices.
