Bangladesh Cricketer Tanzim Hasan Sakib Faces Backlash for Misogynistic Social Media Post

The post criticized women joining the labor force and mixing with male friends in a university. Tanzim issued an apology and clarified that he is not misogynistic. The Bangladesh Cricket Board warned him against making similar posts in the future.

Tanzim made an impact on his international debut

Despite the social media controversy, Tanzim made an impact on his international debut, contributing to Bangladesh's victory over India in the Asia Cup. He dismissed India captain Rohit Sharma for a two-ball duck and took another wicket, helping Bangladesh secure their first win over India in the tournament in 11 years. After the match, Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan credited Tanzim for his performance with the new ball.
