Blast reported in front of Taliban Ministry of Foreign Affairs building

A bomb exploded near the gate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kabul, Afghanistan. This bomb blast happened in the afternoon. According to Afghanistan’s Tulo News, 20 people have died in the blast and many others are injured. the injured were admitted to the nearest hospital.

According to the local people, the sound of the explosion was heard far and wide. Kabul Security Agency spokesman Khalid Zadran has confirmed the blast by tweeting.

The bodies of the victims are visible on the road in pictures being shared on social media. As of now, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack. Khalid Zadran said that the security forces have reached the spot.

The victims of the blast have been admitted to the Emergency Hospital near the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kabul. Relatives of those injured in the bomb blast are waiting outside the hospital. People are searching for their relatives who have been harmed in the blast.

Blast near army airport

In the same month, there was a bomb blast at Kabul airport in Afghanistan. About 10 people were killed in the bomb blast at the airport, while 8 people were injured. The spokesman of the Taliban’s Interior Ministry had also informed that Abdul Nafi Takkur had said that the explosion took place near the main gate of the Army Airport.

Attacks are continuing

There has been a steady increase in incidents like bomb blasts in Afghanistan in the last few months. The Chinese owner’s hotel was targeted in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. Taliban captured Afghanistan in the year 2021 August. Groups linked to the Afghan branch of the Islamic State carried out bombings targeting ethnic Hazaras, Afghan Shias, Sufis and others, killing and injuring hundreds. On December 6 last year, there was a massive explosion at the currency exchange market in Jalalabad Balkh, the capital of Afghanistan’s eastern Nangarhar province.
