Bondi Beach Viral Video: FormerEngland cricket captain Michael Vaughan has praised the courageous efforts of fruit seller Ahmed al Ahmed for disarming an attacker at the Bondi Beach in Sydney.
At least 15 people were killed when a father-son duo started shooting recklessly at a Hanukkah (Jewish holiday) celebration. Both attackers shouted Allahu Akbar after every shot and hailed from Pakistan, the undisputed origin of terrorism in the world.
The elder shooter died at the scene while his 24-year-old son has been admitted to a hospital in critical condition.
Bondi Beach Viral Video: Ahmed al Ahmed
Ahmed al Ahmed, a fruit seller at Bondi Beach, has transformed into an overnight star for his heroics during the attack. Ahmed was hit by two bullets and is presently undergoing treatment.
Vaughan remarked he was at a nearby restaurant and stayed locked in the building to survive the attack. The ex-England captain said Ahmed al Ahmed who confronted the terrorist did a great job, saving the lives of countless many.
Michael Vaughan is a regular for Ashes commentary duties in Australia, and is often seen hanging out on Sydney’s Bondi Beach.
Speaking to Piers Morgan, Vaughan said he could not have done what Ahmed al Ahmed did to fight terrorists.
Vaughan remarked he first felt it was a shark attack before he realized it was a terrorist attack. The former captain said he was notified by a security guard outside the pub that there was someone armed with weapons and people were being held hostage.
Pat Cummins Reacts To Bondi Beach Shooting
Australia test cricket captain Pat Cummins who lives near the Bondi Beach extended a support message for the Jewish community in Australia. Cummins wrote on Instagram that his heart goes out to the victims, their families, the people of Bondi and the Jewish community.
