Poland: According to the police, a British man who could only be known as Mark C because of local privacy rules passed away after receiving 22 shots in 90 minutes in a strip club in Krakow, Poland. The victim was out with a buddy when they went to a club called Wild Nights, and despite being already inebriated and declining the drinks, he was showered with shots. This was reported by the British tabloid Metro.
Mark was robbed while he was asleep and lost 420 pounds
After receiving 22 shots, Mark lost consciousness and eventually passed away. According to the National Prosecutor’s Office in Poland, the tourist had a deadly blood alcohol level of at least 0.4%. In addition to the tragedy, Mark was robbed while he was asleep and lost 420 pounds. Police announced that they had charged 58 persons with belonging to an organised crime ring after a series of nightclub raids. According to the Polish Central Police Investigation Bureau (CBSP), the clubs engaged in a scam whereby patrons were first made intoxicated before their money was stolen.
The probe is still ongoing and covers bars in both Krakow and Warsaw
The people who forced Mark to drink himself to death, according to Metro, were also taken into custody. The individual did not require medical assistance during the incident, per a statement from CBSP. Provisional arrests were made in relation to those suspected of conducting this crime. The investigation, which also includes bars in Warsaw and Krakow, is still ongoing.
